Here is How to Write a Robust Statement of Purpose

Here is How to Write a Robust Statement of Purpose
SOP or statement of purpose or a personal statement refers to a critical piece of school application that delineates the admission committees about you, your academic and professional interests and how you will be a great addition to the program you are interested to apply in. It should narrate a proper story about who you are and why are you worthy of the university you are interested in. The statement of purpose must always range around 500 to 1000 words. Always use a traditional font and size it around 11 to 12 pt. Do not forget to leave enough whitespace to make the statement readable. Double space the document if the university demands it.
Steps on writing a strong SOP
  1. Brainstorm
The     SOP offers you a chance to convey your story with uniqueness which entails your prior jobs, volunteer experience and academics. Ponder on what makes you unique and ask yourself, what are your expectations from this program? What features of this very program renders you excited? Solicit the responses to get your initial thoughts on paper. This will act as your starting point and will help you craft your first draft.

2.                  The first draft
Ensure to offer insight on what drives you, personally and professionally. Showcase your interest in the organization by addressing its unique features that entice you the most. And most of all, be yourself. It helps you in keeping the audience in mind when crafting the draft and do not forget to showcase your personality.
3.                  Editing and refining
Ensure that you have followed the directions accurately like margins, spacing, and font size and type. Proofread thoroughly to look out for grammar, spellings, and punctuations. Keep in mind that the SOP should always be between 500 to 1000 words. If the word count increases, reread it repeatedly and deduct the details that are redundant and/or useless.
